A Clan Society is the modern day counterpart of a Scottish Clan. However, it is not a clan or a branch of one. It is a social organization, a voluntary association of individuals who share a common history and heritage.
The majority of Littles, Lytles and Lyttles in Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand have their family roots deep in the old West March of the Scottish Border.
Clan Little Society North America was incorporated in Georgia, USA, in 1994.
The Society's main purpose is to promote the knowledge and celebration of the Clan as well as Scottish heritage, and be a source of genealogy search for Clan members.
** Note **
Clan Little Society North America is recognized as a 501-(c)-7 not-for-profit organization by the IRS
